WORSHIP SERVICE
TRINITY & PEACE WITH JUSTICE SUNDAY
June 7, 2020
ANNOUNCEMENTS
OPENING PRAYER (in unison)
God of peace and justice, open our hearts and minds to be creators of your peace with justice. Remind us of the responsibility with which you entrusted us to care for the work of your hands. Move us to repair what is broken in your world. Amen.
HYMNS
Come, Join the Dance of Trinity, verses 1, 4
You Are Mine, verses 1, 2, 3
You Are the Seed, all verses
SCRIPTURES
Psalm 8
Matthew 28:16-20
PRAYER FOR FORGIVENESS (in unison)
God of peace and justice, we know that you created us in the diversity of your image, yet we refuse to see you reflected in the face of our neighbor who has a different skin tone, worships in a different tradition, or speaks in a language we don’t understand. Forgive us for lashing out from our sense of scarcity and greed, ignorance and fear. Turn us around to be peacemakers and justice builders in your world. Amen.

THE LORD’S PRAYER
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

- You may share private prayer concerns with Pastor via email to pastor@lansingunited.org. Include the subject line “Prayer Concerns.”
